 Tuff One's Mustang converted to long nose Funny Car |
This body started out as a Tuff Ones Mustang that was all messed up. I filled in the wheel wells and then added a section to the hood to lengthen the nose. I added a screw post up front to allow a t-jet chassis to be mounted underneath. Once again - Mead brother's decals to the rescue.

Wheel wells repaired with styrene and now I've sectioned off the hood. More styrene will be added in the open section now to lengthen the overall length.

Great view of the divorced front axle setup. Drill the axle hole with a very small bit at first. Obviously trying to keep it perfectly perpendicular to the track axis - then come back with a larger bit and open the hole up a bit and also use that opportunity to correct any mis-alignment. I like to use AFX front axles with the 5 spoke hub & o-rings for tires. Looks great on those throwback's from the 70's!
