StromBecker Dragster Assembly

2 IN 1 Dragster Kit "THE SPOOK" or "THE SILVER GHOST"
This Strombecker 1:32 scale Model Dragster is a precision-built operating model, designed for high-speed, authentic-action electric track racing. This kit has been designed to snap together; glueing Is necessary only on the assembly and mounting of the driver. Use only cement intended for polystyrene plastic; apply sparingly and avoid smearing It on plastic surfaces.

Carefully read Instructions to insure correct assembly and efficient operation of the model.

To insure the most professional job possible with your Strombecker Dragster do all painting before assembling. We recommend the following paint scheme.

Fan Belt Housing - Red
Driver - Red with white trim and green goggles
Air Scoop - Blue
Rear portion of body - blue
Steering Wheel - Black
Exhaust Pipe Ends - Black
Bottom of Engine Block - Black

  1. Snap motor into body with terminal plate going in first. Make sure motor is seated, push it all the way down with pinion gear pointing toward the rear of car.
  2. Slide the brass bushings on the rear axle, with the smaller end facing out. (Note: smaller dia. of bushing must be facing out).
  3. Press all wheels firmly onto axle ends with heavy mag wheels on the rear axle and spoke wheels on front axle.
  4. Slip rubber drag slicks on rear mags.
  5. Snap front and rear axles into place.
  6. Slide wire pick-up brushes into slots in pick-up (see detail above) and snap assembled pick-up into hole in front of car with brushes slanted to the rear.
  7. Arrange motor wires around Dragster frame as illustrated above, and plug them into slots on top of the pick-up. Test run Dragster on track, if it runs backwards, remove rear axle and reverse it so that rear wheels switch sides.
